• %APPDATA%\update\update.exe
• %APPDATA%\windowsupdate\updater.exe

It can make various registry changes during its installation, including:

In subkey: HKLM\Software\Google\Update
Sets value: "LastCodeRedCheck"
With data: "0x00000bedc61c0a5f"

It modifies the registry so that it runs each time you start your PC. For example:

In subkey: HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Sets value: "Windows Update Installer"
With data: "%APPDATA%\windowsupdate\updater.exe"

The malware uses code injection to make it harder to detect and remove. It can inject code into running processes.
