Exploit:W32/PDF-URI.L is also known as Exploit:Win32/RdrJmp.A, Exploit:W32/AdobeReader.L, Exploit.Win32.PDF-URI.l, Bloodhound.Exploit.163.
Exploit:W32/PDF-URI.L is detection of a malicious PDF file that is being heavily spammed through e-mail and it appears as an attachment.
This malicious PDF file takes advantage of a vulnerability on the URI handling of PDF files. This vulnerability affects IE7, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Reader on some platforms.
Users should update their Adobe Reader installations. See the details section for information.
Actions
This malware disables the Windows Firewall by issuing the following command:
- netsh firewall set opmode mode=DISABLE
Then it downloads the a file from the following FTP site and executes it:
- ftp://81.95.146.181/[REMOVED].exe
Detected as Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Small.glc

Windows XP or Windows 2003 (Vista users are not affected) with Internet Explorer 7 installed.
