Explanation :

A trojan that secretly downloads malicious files from a remote server, then installs and executes the files.

Additional DetailsTrojan-Downloader:W32/Wintrim downloads and installs other programs on the computer system. Though possibly legitimate, the download and installation may also be performed without the user's knowledge or authorization.

Wintrim is closely associated to adware programs, and may be used to download the adware program onto the user's machine:
