Google is (in Europe) the most used search engine and it logs every search you make. They do this to provide you (and others) better search results.
Google can provide you (and only you) with a personal record if your searches if you know where to look.
Google describes the process on their website.
- Click Settings > History on the bottom right of the Google home page.
You'll have to re-enter your password, even if you're already signed in.
- Click on Settings in the Google Web & App Activity page on the top right.
- Click Download.
- Click Create Archive.
- Check your Gmail account.
It might take same time...
- Click View in Drive and download the zip-file.
- The search histories come as .JSON files, which are a type of JavaScript format. You can open these files in Notepad or any other text reader.
If you like your privacy and want the search history to go away:
- Click Settings > History on the bottom right of the Google home page.
You'll have to re-enter your password, even if you're already signed in.
- Click on Settings in the Google Web & App Activity page on the top right.
- Click Remove Items.
