Summary:
EMC Secure Remote Services Virtual Edition is affected by a path traversal vulnerability. Attackers could potentially exploit this vulnerability to access unauthorized information by supplying specially crafted strings in input parameters of the application.
Details:
The EMC SRS Virtual Edition provides an API that allows an authenticated user to read/download various component log files. A path traversal vulnerability in this API may potentially be exploited by an authenticated malicious user to read/download any file accessible to the esrsve user/group.
Resolution:
The following EMC Secure Remote Services Virtual Edition release contains resolution to this vulnerability.
EMC Secure Remote Services Virtual Edition version 3.10
EMC recommends all customers upgrade to the version mentioned above at the earliest opportunity.
