VULNERABILITY ------------------------- Lansweeper XXE vulnerability. II. INTRODUCTION ------------------------- Lansweeper an Asset Management and Network Inventory Tool (v6.0.100.29 and probably all previous versions) is affected by a XXE vulnerability. III. DESCRIPTION ------------------------- 1) XML eXternel Entity Injection An XML External Entity attack is a type of attack against an application that parses XML input. This attack occurs when XML input containing a reference to an external entity is processed by a weakly configured XML parser. This attack may lead to the disclosure of confidential data, denial of service, server side request forgery, port scanning from the perspective of the machine where the parser is located, and other system impacts. BUSINESS IMPACT ------------------------- An attacker could reach and disclose confidential data, cause denial of service, server side request forgery. V. SYSTEMS AFFECTED ------------------------- Version 6.0.100.29 is vulnerable (probably all previous versions) VI. SOLUTION ------------------------- Upgrade to version 6.0.100.67 or later. VII.
