About IRC Trojans

An IRC-Trojan is a type of trojan that performs malicious actions in Internet Relay Chat (IRC) networks. Such actions could be:
€ Flooding, or sending massive amount of data to a channel or a selected user € Sending SPAM (unsolicited messages) to all users in a selected channel € Performing Denial of Service (DoS) attacks on an IRC server (causing a slowdown or malfunction) € Nickname collision, or taking nicknames of real users and holding them € Cloning, or creating several identical essences of a single IRC user or even taking over whole IRC channels in case such trojan is installed on a computer of an Op (channel operator)
