Threat behavior Trojan:Win32/Ransom is a detection for malicious programs that seize control of a computer in which it is installed. This trojan usually locks the screen and prevents the user from using the computer. It usually displays an alert message. Trojan:Win32/Ransom prompts the user to send an SMS to a specific number. The user is informed that in return he or she will receive an unlock code to regain access to the computer. Trojan:Win32/Ransom usually targets Russian users and may also open pornographic websites.
