Explanation :

Win32.Golem.A is a polymorphic file infector virus that infects Windows Portable Executable (PE) files on Windows OS platform.

It enumerates all fixed drives of the computer, ignoring the one on which the operating system is located, and each single instance infects only 5 files. This means that if you have only one drive/partition you will not be affected by this virus.

Each infected file will have its size increased by approximately 4000 bytes and will run exactly as it did before the infection, as it does not affect it's functionality. Other than this, Golem.A does not have other damaging payload.
