A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:
- Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

The system could be made to crash or run programs as an administrator.

Details:
Pageexec reported a bug in the Linux kernel's recvmsg syscall when called=
from code using the x32 ABI. An unprivileged local user could exploit thi=
s
flaw to cause a denial of service (system crash) or gain administrator
privileges.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS:
linux-image-3.8.0-35-generic 3.8.0-35.52~precise1
After a standard system update you need to reboot your computer to make
all the necessary changes.
