A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Summary:

OpenSBI could be made to crash if it received specially crafted
input.

Software Description:
- opensbi: RISC-V Open Source Supervisor Binary Interface

Details:

It was discovered that OpenSBI did not properly validate the counter index
mask in SBI PMU extension requests. An attacker could use this issue to
cause a denial of service.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
opensbi 1.3-1ubuntu0.22.04.3

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
