A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Summary:

Plasma Workspace could allow unintended access to user sessions.

Software Description:
- plasma-workspace: Plasma Workspace for KF5

Details:

Fabian Vogt discovered that Plasma Workspace did not properly authenticate
local clients connecting to the session manager. A local attacker could
possibly use this issue to execute arbitrary code as another user.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
plasma-workspace 4:5.5.5.2-0ubuntu1.1+esm1
Available with Ubuntu Pro

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
