A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Summary:

python-sql could allow an attacker to perform SQL injection attacks.

Software Description:
- python-sql: Library to write SQL queries

Details:

Cédric Krier discovered that python-sql incorrectly escaped values passed
to unary operators. An attacker could possibly use this issue to perform
SQL injection attacks.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

python3-sql 1.4.0-1+deb12u1build0.24.04.1

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
python3-sql 1.3.0-1ubuntu0.1~esm1
