CriticalSeverity Rating: Critical - Revision Note: V1.1 (April 9, 2008): Bulletin updated to add Microsoft Project 2003 Service Pack 3 to the Non-Affected Software table, to add a link to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 950183 in Known Issues, and to add a section for Microsoft Project 2003 Service Pack 3 to the FAQ.Summary: This security update resolves a privately reported vulnerability in Microsoft Project that could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Project file. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of an affected system. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.
