There is an newer version: MS09-029 - Version: 1.1

Critical

Severity Rating: Critical - Revision Note: V2.0 (August 11, 2009): Bulletin rereleased to reoffer the updates for all supported editions of Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. This is to address a known issue with the original updates for these platforms. Microsoft recommends that customers apply the update immediately.Summary: This security update resolves two privately reported vulnerabilities in a Microsoft Windows component, the Embedded OpenType (EOT) Font Engine. The vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution. An attacker who successfully exploited either of these vulnerabilities could take complete control of an affected system remotely. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.
